Well... I met a guy at a conference and am kinda liking him. I have his contacts - mobile and email. How should I go about start initiate a date with him?

call him or email him and ask about the conference. Start a dialog on common ground and see where it goes. Don't ask him out immediately. Develop a chemistry then ask if he wants to meet up somewhere.

First find out if he's available with evasive questions. However, guys can pick up on this.
Also see if you both are on the same wave length, if you are both smiling at each other a lot, thats usually a good sign.
Take a conversation to lunch, just start talking and say something like, "I have to leave now, but I was curious if you would like to meet for lunch?"
THat should do the trick.

Call him chit chat for a minute and invite him to meet you for a drink some time next week. Make it a week night so not to seem too much like a date. Don't be nervous men are always flattered when a woman takes the initiative. Good luck.

First do you think he likes you? Start texting him short messages like Hi wats up. Gradually, and i mean gradullay build up the ammount of times you text him, then start e-mailing him. If you notice any dislike in you, stop! If not, by 3 weeks ask him out. Make the first move, he will be very grateful!

E-mail him regarding the conference you met at and then say something like, I enjoyed our conversation at the conference, maybe we can have lunch sometimes?

Yea. Go for it. I would send him an email first, telling him how it was nice meeting him and the vibe I got form him and then I would be like " if this doesn't sound too crazy, maybe we can grab a bit to eat or catch a movie?" Email him and ask him how he's doing. Then ask him if he'd want to meet up and do something some time (like maybe get lunch or go to a movie).

ya....you just have to be patient enough and don't have to be in hurry and if you are a good looking (offcourse you are) the boy himself will ask you for your some time on the special occasions such as new year or on valantines etc. This will also tells you that boy also likes you.
