I believe the seat belt law(not the one that says you have to wear it, the one that says cars have to come with them) was enacted in the 60's, so you car should have seat belts. go to a GMC forum to find out where to install them.

any vehical after 1967 has to be eqwiped with seat belts to pass a safty in canada anyhow good luck and no u shouldent get a ticket after the fact but he may give u 7 days to comply by puting them in

Yes they did!!! But they were only lap belts! That law came into effect in the mid 60's
