The best thing ALL of us can do is spread the word. If we let people know that these "companies" and stores sell dogs from a puppy mill, maybe more people would STOP shopping with them. Many times these dogs are sick and die, or require major surgery . I have been educating people I meet on this, and explaining the horrible things that go on in these puppy mills. Im sorry that this company took you, and very saddened that the dog died. Spread the word...Tell everyone you come in contact online or in the streets that this company sucks!

This is why we as pet buyers must do our research - dogs are NOT like cars where you base your purchase of a particular vehicle on price & convienence. Quality varies WIDELY. Always buy from a reputable breeder, which you can find by going to www.akc.org, locating the breeds closest club chapter, then buying from a member that tests & certifies their breeding dogs from defects known to the breed.
I am sorry you had this sad experience, but be sure to keep the lesson you learned - buying over cutesy interent sites is the the same as buying from cutsey pet stores at the mall: behind the facade is a puppy mill!

This company is a puppy mill. They are notorious. The best defense is to be informed and to never do business with them or any other puppy "store".
Patronize a breeder, or adopt a shelter dog. Breeders adore their animals and will always guarantee you a healthy dog.
Breeders will also require that you bring your dog back to them if you ever, for whatever reason, decide you no longer want that dog yourself. Some breeders will refund your money up to the amount that your dog is resold for, within the first year.

Just a question but are they selling the animals with papers. If so and they are AKc reg. you can contact AKC (american Kennel Club) And they will investigate as well. If the breeder is not following standards then akc will no long reg. the dogs for that breeder! It is worth a try!
Always research a breeder before you buy a dog. Ask for refferances and ask for pictures of both parents if they are not on sight! Hope this helps and good luck

Try this site:

They helped me find info about my dog's breeder and can help you find others that have been in your situation.
This site has a link where you can report what happened and get a report back stating other information that corroborates your problem.

Sorry for your loss! Did the store have a health guarantee? Most states have puppy lemon laws that require a 10 day health guarentee.

Sorry about your experience....
In my opinion, all pet stores should be prohibited from selling animals. Stop Puppy-mill production and buy from a reputable breeder or save a homeless pet at a rescue!

This link may help you! In any case, it looks like you aren't the only one who has had a problem with this place.
Sorry to hear about your situation -- just another reason to never buy a puppy from a pet store.

Chihuaha? Sounds like you should file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau.

This is why you should NEVER buy an dog or cat from a puppymill or a mall based pet store. Many states in the US do not allow this.

what was wrong with the dog that you had to put it to sleep?
as for them selling you something that wasnt what you wanted, i would bring that up with the BBB, as well as talk to the local ASPCA about whatever was wrong with your dog so they can check them out and make sure they arent a puppy mill.
