If you have a Chessecake Factory thats always nice! Great food, good atmosphere, and delicious deserts! Works for me :-)

I've heard there are still tix available for First Night San Diego, you can check with the Sheraton on Harbor to see about purchase (that's who told me they had them). I've heard the W has a pretty big/good party. Basically anywhere down town SD if you're wanting to dress up and don't care about how much money you spend, and I think they close off some of the streets in the Gaslamp too. If you're looking for something a little bit toned down there's always PB. If you're wanting to avoid the crowds, maybe dinner and a movie. You could hit Fashion Valley, and there are a whole slew of really good restraunts in La Jolla. If you want unique and really make it just the girls, no hitting on guys or anything: Hamburger Mary's in Hillcrest. Double check anywhere you want to go first though, it is New Year's so you never know...restraunts may be bought out or hosting private events. Outside of SD proper: no idea. Mostly private parties in North County and OC, but then I've only recently moved up here so who knows.

I love the cheesecake factory, but I think it will be MOBBED New Year's eve, and last I heard they don't take reservations.
I'd recommend the South Beach Bar 7 Grill in Ocean Beach, right on the end of Newport Avenue. Beer is cheap and plentiful, the grilled tacos are the best in the world, and the atmosphere can't be beat. They may be quite crowded, but they have lots of standing room, and if they're just too crowded, you have the entire OB area to choose other restaurants from.

If you want gas lamp vibe with PB prices, go to Johnny V's in Pacific Beach.
