Fairly easily. Any kind of paint works unless there are stains on the tiles. Most companies make a special ceiling paint, as opposed to a sealing paint, referred to later. That paint has more body so it is less likely to drip while it is wet. The biggest issue is not the paint, but applying it.
The tiles usually have an extremely uneven surface. That is necessary to reduce the sound levels. It is hard to get into all those uneven surfaces. The cracks and/or holes are even worse.
This can be done with a brush and a long nap roller, but spraying is usually more effective. If there are water stains, which is not unusual, you want a paint that seals those stains or they will bleed through. Bleeding through is pretty much guaranteed, unless you seal those water stains.

Yes, you can paint acoustical ceiling tiles! We've got them in our basement. We had a small water leak that stained one of the tiles. We just re-painted it with white ceiling paint. It looks good as new!

Use a sprayer with the correct safety gear and clothing. Home Depot will have all of the materials. If they are tiles you might want to think about taping the metal strips before you start. then you can just shoot the paint. If you dont want the walls the same you can tape visqueen or paper from the top of the wall to protect them. Its best to use a flat based paint for the cieling. Laytex is more for walls because its wipeable. I actually prefer semigloss for walls and laytex for trim. Good luck.

Most can be. Normally it is easier with a roller . Using latex paint seems to work best. A latex semigloss if you want it washable. Go with ceiling white for the most light. However this is up to you on color. I don,t recommend dark colors unless you want the cave effect.

in my experience kilz has always worked the best, but they do make several versions, make sure you use the one with the highest stain blocking, that says for water stains, with ceiling tiles it can be difficult because they absorb so much paint. good luck.
