Yeah so my ethnic friend who has only been in the states for a couple years calls it "egg in a hole". I cant help but laugh cause it just sounds funny. And then I couldn't remember what I called it when we cooked it when I was younger!
Bascially just cooking eggs and then putting them inside bread by cutting out some of the bread. What else is it called???

We always called it turtle in a shell. Pretty funny when I think about it! Egg in a whole sounds better!!! We sometimes dip the bread in french toast dip first...then it was ah la turtle in a shell.

When I was a kid we called it "Toad in the hole".
I have no idea why.
