for me it has a lot to do with the moment...but i would have to say a kiss on the hand is so much more romantic and it's done with more passion. when a man gives me a kiss on my hand, it sends quivers through my body, it makes me feel soooooooooo good! it shows compassion, and it lets me know that i have a man who knows how to appreciate a lady.

I usually go for the cheek most of the time
and if she is really someone special, just after the kiss on the cheek, I go quickly for a quick kiss on the neck, then back up and smile

On the cheek, it's much more romantic than on the hand. Besides it's just makes the ladies want a real kiss..kinda like a teaser. lol

Cheek...I am not as comfortable with the hand. I like my hand but the person can't be a total stranger because then it's just awkward. So then the situation would be different.

I love it when my boyfriend kisses me on the hand, he does when he's feeling more romantic. A kiss on the cheek is usually just sweet.

Hand, it's very European and I personally hate saliva on my face or any interference with my perfect make up. Pretty shallow, but for the perfectionist clean freak I am it's the only way. At least if you don't like the dude you can always excuse yourself, go to the washroom and wash your hand with antibacterial soap versus washing and re applying all your make up.
Just being practical.

On the hand if joking or playing around, to say hello or good bye on the cheek. hubby only on the lips!
