Try Sushi Samba Rio on Wells in River North. Very hip these days. There really are not too many restaurant/dance clubs.
Another place is Nine with the Ghost Bar upstairs.
Nacional 27 also has dancing later in the night, but it is more of a suburban crowd.

For eatting I love The Italian Village, The Melting Pot or The Cheesecake Factory. I'm not sure on good places to dance. There are Dinner and Dance cruises that depart from Navy Pier, such as the Sprit of Chicago that I've heard are fun.
