Like me is anyone else sick to the back teeth of turkey already and who will be eating turkey sandwiches, chilli con turkey and turkey curry for the next year as they bought a turkey that could feed the Indian subcontinent. Happy New year. Alex

Yes, my family was tired of turkey also. That's why we had a nice roast on Christmas. It hit the spot, there was leftovers enough for a sandwich each yesterday and that was that. Sorry Alex. Happy New Year! I feel ya on the turkey thing.

I haven't had any this Christmas love. Why don't you write a note to yourself not to buy any next year. There are lots of other things to try. Happy New and Turkey Free Year to you.
lots of love xxx

I couldn't agree more.
The bird is my biggest Christmas turn -off.
And, why do we all buy such big turkeys? There are starving people all over the world who would love just a little bit of anything, but we throw most of it away.
Disgusting tradition. We would do better to fast at Christmas.

Next time, definitely buy a smaller turkey. Or you could do what I wanted to do when I was about 3. My grandmother told me there were starving children in China who would love to have it. I immediately brightened up and said, "Let's send it to them!"

Why oh why do we subject ourselves to eating a piece of food that we wouldn't be seen dead eating any other time of the year? It's like, "oh, it's christmas, so lets gorge ourselves on something really tasteless and bland and lasts until easter". Squak!! I'm praying for beef next year...

Have a fab 2007!

Nope ... we love turkey. Turkey sandwiches, turkey soup. turkey a la king, turkey casserole, turkey salad, turkey pot pie, etc. Ours will be finished by tomorrow ... except for the soup which will happen later ...

Well, then why don't you make your roast be beef next Christmas? I am guessing it is easier and if you don't like beef, use a hammer or a pluck to get the teeth out! Beef is meat and meat is G-O-O-D! Good!!! Or get your butcher to take them out. I'm suggesting this because I am an imaginative 8-year-old.
