No. If you're not living with them, and you're legal, the other parent has no right to tell you what to do.

Being of legal age, you certainly have the right to live your life as you choose. However, in many cultures it is a norm to respect the wishes of parents (familial piety) long after you are of legal age. The answer to your question depends upon your desire to live your life according to what the "legal" world says, or to what your culture says.

DO they have any rights? Your parents will always have the right to advise you on how to live your life, but when you are a mature adult, you have the right to make your own decisions. As long as you are living with one of your parents and not making your own way, you obey the rules of the parent's house regardless of your age.

If you're of legal age then most of your decisions are going to be based on your own anyway. However, don't discredit the absent parent. Sure, he/she may be no good but you also don't know the reasons behind his/her actions.

Not unless they are paying child support. If they are not contributing financially to your upbringing, and have not been a part of your life, they have no right to try to parent you now.

The estranged parent is entitled to their opinion but not to dictate your behavior. By the way, it's "Do they have the right" not "Does they"...but you knew that I'm sure.

if you're of legal age, then neither of them have the right to tell you how to live your life.

Correct your grammar mistake first. Do they have any rights....? not Does they have any rights....?
