My compliments on a very good Question!!
It is very simple really. In Islam (the Muslim religion) adherents believe that Jesus was a teacher and prophet, but not the only Son of God or the Messiah. Muslims believe Muhammed to be the final and most important prophet of God (Allah).
Just as Jews do not believe that Jesus is the Messiah either.
But all three of these faiths, Judaism, Christianity and Islam believe in the One God who first manifested himself to the Hebrew (Jewish) people.
Only Christians celebrate the Christian holidays in any religious way.
I tried to be detailed but not over complicate the question, I hope I was of help to you

Christmas is in recognition of the birth of Jesus. Easter is in recognition of the death and resurrection of Jesus. Muslims don'y celebrate the birthdays of their prophets, not even the birth of the Prophet Muhammad, the last of all Prophets (unforunately some do celebrate his birthday, but that is an innovation that is against the practices of the Prophet himself). Additionally, muslims believe that Jesus was brought to heaven before he could be killed on the cross, and God put the likeness of another man on the cross who was killed. So with no death of Jesus, the resurrection would be irrelevant.
But this question is kind of as silly. They are completely separate religions. Christians worship Jesus. Muslims only worship God. Muslims wouldn't celebrate holidays that praise human beings.

Christmas and Easter are Christian holidays. Expecting them to observe them would be like expecting Christians to observe Ramadan. Both Christmas and Easter present Jesus as a divine figure, which Muslims do not accept. They do not believe that Jesus rose from the dead, sicne the Qu'ran says he was not crucified.
And it isn't just India. I'm talking about all Muslims.

Although Muslims, Christians and Jews worship the same God, we follow different messengers of God. Muslims like me follow Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). Christians follow Jesus Christ the son of Mary (peace be upon him) while Jews follow mostly Prophet Moses (peace be upon him) and other prophets like David and Solomon (peace be upon them). However, surely we believe that all prophets/messengers of God bring the same message which is to worship the One and only One Eternal God. Thus, Muslims observe different religious festivals than that of the other 2 Abrahamic religions. Jews dont celebrate Eid while Christians dont observe Yom Kippur. So do Muslims. We dont celebrate Christmas.
Happy Holidays.
Peace and Love.

It isn't God who's celebrated on Christmas and Easter, it's Jesus. Muslims don't consider Jesus to be the son of God, so they don't celebrate those holidays.

Christmas and Easter are western traditions that arent mentioned in Scripture.
Though Muslims believe that Jesus was born of the virgin Mary, which Christmas celebrates they do not believe Jesus ever died or was resurrected. They believe Allah brought him up to heaven before anyone could kill him. So they dont believe in what Easter celebrates.

A person can have a religion that doesn't share the same stories of the myth of a God having a son, then allowing that son killed and then resurructed!! You should not feel insulted if such a pagan and childish concept of God doesn't make sense to a lot of people. God should be a whole lot greater than that to be worthy of worship as Almighty and Creator of all things in the universe.

Because Muslims aren't suppossed to celebrate pagan holidays. We're only suppossed to celebrate Eid ul-Fitr and Eid ul-Adha. Muslims who celebrate pagan holidays aren't even following what they're told. Eid ul-Fitr which is marking the end of Ramadan(9th month of Islamic calender and the month in which all Muslims fast for an entire month by not eating, drinking, or having sexual relations from sunrise to sunset). Eid ul-Fitr means Feast of the Breaking of the Fast and is observed for 3 days. It's celebrated by eating with family and friends, gift-giving, and praying.
The other holiday Muslims celebrate is Eid ul-Adha which is celebrated to commerorate Prophet Ibrahim's(PBUH*) willingness to sacrafice his son Ishmael for ALLAH and also marks the end of Hajj for the millions of Muslims who make the trip to Makkah each year. It is celebrated the 10th day of the 12th Islamic month(Dhul Hajj) which is also for three days. Celebrations include sacraficing a sheep/goat, and eating with family and friends
