There are many Biblical restrictions on what and when one should eat. You can start in Genesis, with Adam and Eve. Noah is given dietary permissions and restrictions after the flood. Deuteronomy contains more elaboration on what and when one should eat and this is in the first 200 pages of the King James version of the Bible.
In general, if one feels that one is commiting a sin, one is commiting a sin.

Emotional eating is not a sin!! I think what the Romans did was a sin, because they would eat and eat then purge and then go back and eat and eat, their partying was extremely excessive, so yes THEY were gluttons. However today's eating disorders do not in anyway parallel to that; there are emotional issues behind those disorders, so it would be unreasonable to say it is a sin.

If you are referring to over eating, the Bible calls this gluttony and it is a sin, because it is a form of idolatry. (worshipping food instead of God). There are several warnings about it in Scripture.
Proverbs 23:2 and put a knife to your throat if you are given to gluttony.
Proverbs 28:7 He who keeps the law is a discerning son, but a companion of gluttons disgraces his Father.

No, I don't believe it's a sin. Eating is also an enjoyment. Right now, I'm eating Fritos corn chips downing it with beer. Not because I'm hungry but because I'm enjoying it. Not a sin, and good question you gave.

It's not eating - it's over indulgence that is a problem. Proverbs 23:1-2.

i cant imagine why youd eat when your not hungry... it IS good for you to snack on food throughout the day rather then only have 3 meals. but if your not hungry dont eat. not good to eat when your not hungry. i would assume that is called gluttony.

Who told you that?
You can eat whenever you want.... why go by the bible if it says do not eat when your not hungry? When somewhere else it might say eat whenever you feel like it.....
Althought eating too much is not good...
