I have jet black hair and have always wondered if I could have it coloured something different. I'm just wondering what kind of colours you could get out of it. Any at all? And what would the procedure be? Just curious. Thanks.

Is not only the hair color. If you have clear skin and the color of your eyes are clear too,get some color in your hair is easy.Brown tones are the match. However, if you have a dark skin and dark eyes the contrast could be big.Use common sense. Combination of colors is easy.Take my advice.Don't go to extremes.

Black hair is very hard to lighten. You will have to use at least 30 volume peroxide with your mixture. You can go completely blonde but if you have never dyed your hair, you may be sensitive, so do a small area to test. Check with your local beauty supply house.

Black hair will go through stages. You will note your hair becoming red first, and the longer you leave the solution on, the lighter it will become. If you do not want the red tones, use what is called a drabber to remove the red. Once you achieve the blonde, you can use any color you want as long as it is very light or you will get black hair again because your hair is now very porous and will color easily. Good luck.

Well I naturally have black hair, and when I was about 13 or 14 I put dark blonde highlights in, but I had to have it done professionally. Otherwise, it would have turned out red or copper I'd say. Make sure to go to a salon...Trust me! But now I keep it natural. I like it better black cause black hair rocks!

you particularly shouldn't attempt this at domicile - placed money right into a hairstylist. heavily. and that i'm no longer one. you could no longer lighten dark hair via utilizing a lighter colored boxed hair dye. the colour should be lifted (or stripped) via a hairstylist till now the lighter shade is extra. a pair of years in the past, while i replaced into attempting to shop some cents, i began out utilizing boxed shade. For some unknown reason, yet it replaced into pink i replaced into after (i could had it for years), it grew to become dark. I mean dark brown. i replaced into horrified. I waited some days, then offered yet another container of pink shade to objective and attach it. It did no longer paintings, stayed the comparable. stumbled on a reliable hairstylist who reported me you could no longer bypass lighter with a gloomy hair dye, in basic terms darker. He had to strip the dark brown, then reapply the pink. It seems tremendous now. And however a lot of people swear via container shade, i've got not ventured there lower back! wish this enables.

You can colour any colour you wish for, however first you need to light down your dark hair colour, because dark hair have to light before colouring lighter colours. The hair saloons do that, just ask them.
Good luck!

oooh...don't do anything yourself. DArk hair is hard to lighten with over the counter products. the chemicals aren't strong enough and you'll end up with orange results. if you really want to do some highlights go to a professional. it will be worth the money!

Rather than coloring your entire head with one color, why not try some warm reddish highlights? It might look very nice. Your color will be more three dimensional rather than flat.
