The way I see things is that Islam is not only wrong but, has interfered in life details in a way that make it impossible for Muslims to brake the circle of poverty, ignorance and retadedness they are in now and forever if they don't open their eye and see the truth, and modify or desert that religion.

The obvious weak points are:

The way they claim Quran was gathered.

The gap between the oldest copy of Quran we have now and the date Muhammad died is 150 years.

Quran contradicts scientific facts (among them-to the Muslims surprise-the way embryos develops) and itself in many places.

Islam never ended slavery and still has doors for it to come back.

Islam legislation doesn't provide equal rights for human beings.

The Bible was written (depending on what parts you mean) 30-40 years after Jesus all by eyewitness.

The Bible was cannonized 300 years after Jesus.

Big difference!!!

Anything not included was not written by an eyewitness and contradicted the other things.

i.e.The Gospel of Mary. The Gospel of Thomas. The Gospel of Phillip.
(google these and see the oldest date you'll get).

Lets compare, as long as you feel like a little religious attack:

"The way I see things is that Islam is not only wrong but, has interfered in life details in a way that make it impossible for Muslims to brake the circle of poverty, ignorance and retadedness"

retadedness... I like it.- BUT We can't place all the ignorance and ... retadedness... on the Muslims now, can we? Jesus must have made plenty to go around- I'm sure one Shirley Phelps might disagree with me, but she's really a good example of ignorance and (btw- the word is) retardation. "God hates America, God hates fags, AIDS cures Fags"... This lady sounds like a real Scholar.

"they are in now and forever if they don't open their eye and see the truth, and modify or desert that religion"- the "truth"? According to who? You? Were you there? How do you know the truth? Your book says so? How do you know that wasn't just the time's equivalent of Lord of the Rings? The Bible could have been written purely for entertainment by the "old wise man" in any given village/city in ancient times. You don't know- you just believe.

"The way they claim Quran was gathered".- So voting which books of the Bible to omit or rewrite doesn't place the bible under the same scrutiny? How about receiving two stone tablets from god? What a bunch of crap.

The gap between the oldest copy of Quran we have now and the date Muhammad died is 150 years.... Hmm... how many bible translations have their been for how many years?

Quran contradicts scientific facts (among them-to the Muslims surprise-the way embryos develops) and itself in many places.- Hey lady- Dinosaurs existed, man didn't appear in one day, virgins didn't give birth till modern times, and when something catches fire, it burns- I can go on.

Islam never ended slavery and still has doors for it to come back. Really? Christianity doesn't really close that door either- so I see no comparison.

Islam legislation doesn't provide equal rights for human beings. What about equal rights for human beings?- I'll remember that the next time I am told I'm going to hell for not being Christian or the next time a Baptist talks about the inferiority of a black person, or a Lutheran talks about the inferiority of women...

I'll assume for argument's sake that the points you make about the oldest Quran, et cetera, are true.
I agree that Islam has it wrong and that it is causing problems. It doesn't cause 'retadedness' or retardation, to use the English. Retardation (I assume you're talking about the mental kind, not the physical kind) refers to people with a low IQ. Since your IQ is not affected by your religion (though there is a negative correlation between IQ and religious belief) there is no chance that Islam causes retardation.
Furthermore, your complaints with Islam would relate to virtually any religion. Take Christianity, for example. Historically it seems the bible was written much later than it claims to be. The gap between the oldest copy we have and the date it was written is much more than 150 years. The bible contradicts scientific facts, like the age of the earth and evolution. Christianity never ended slavery. Christian legislation doesn't provide equal rights.

I'm not sure if your question stems from ignorance or rudeness.

In what way do you see Muslims to be stuck in a cycle of poverty and ignorance? There are many countries that have a lower average income and standard of living as well as lower levels of education than Islamic countries. Do you believe it's their religion that causes this or do you think it is the result of other factors such as availability of resources, influence/control of other countries, availability of technology, domesticatable animals, exposure to illnesses (thus developing a more intricate immune system) all creating various outcomes over hundreds or thousands of years?

To look at the other points you've made, how was the Bible gathered? How many years passed between the death of Jesus and the first writings which later became the bible? Do you realize that entire books have been written decades, even centuries after the recognized author died? The first five books of the bible (the Pentateuch) is a perfect example. Why are you not making the same points of concern regarding Christians?

The Bible contradicts scientific fact as well (as do the Bhagavad Gita, the Tao-te-ching, the Veda as well as others, I'm sure). Many of these books also have self-conflicting verses -- the Bible is known for its self contradiction. The different creations stories of the bible, the different stories of the Birth of Jesus. Here's a sample:
GE 1:3-5 On the first day, God created light, then separated light and darkness.
GE 1:14-19 The sun (which separates night and day) wasn't created until the fourth day.

GE 1:11-12, 26-27 Trees were created before man was created.
GE 2:4-9 Man was created before trees were created.

GE 1:20-21, 26-27 Birds were created before man was created.
GE 2:7, 19 Man was created before birds were created.

GE 1:24-27 Animals were created before man was created.
GE 2:7, 19 Man was created before animals were created.

GE 1:26-27 Man and woman were created at the same time.
GE 2:7, 21-22 Man was created first, woman sometime later.

The Bible condones slavery:
(NLT) Leviticus 25:44-46 However, you may purchase male or female slaves from among the foreigners who live among you. You may also purchase the children of such resident foreigners, including those who have been born in your land. You may treat them as your property, passing them on to your children as a permanent inheritance. You may treat your slaves like this, but the people of Israel, your relatives, must never be treated this way.

Many translations of the Veda also condone a form of slavery (the creation of the class of untouchables)

The Bible is well known for promoting inequality. In equality for women, for people of other nations (who could be bought/sold as slaves), for non-be livers, etc.

I don't understand how you can look at one religion and make such global criticism without broadening your scope to other religions.

The Bible was written hundreds of years after Jesus is alleged to die.

The Bible contradicts science and holds it back.

The Bible was gathered by Constantine and the books he didn't want in didn't.

Christian Legislation, thank god there isn't any real one, would not allow equal rights for gays or give women the right to choose if they want an abortion or not.

Christians were fine with Slavery it wasn't until the Enlightenment happened, a period secular humanism developed before they ended it.

Biblical verses says Slavery is fine.

Christian legislation doesn't provide equal rights to everyone if you disagree with them.

So should Christians open their eyes and convert?

I personally think all religions produce intolerance and corrupt governments but to pick on Islam because you think they're wrong, is a fallacy within itself.
But wait, why do I pick on Christianity in the first place? Judging by your question 80% that you're Christian so I like the statistics guide me.

Those are all excellent reasons for disposing of the BIBLE as well...

Is it not a weak point that the Bible is the direct inerrant word of God? Is it not a fact that the oldest Bibles in existence are at least 300 years after the death of Christ? Doesnt the Bible contradict scientific fact? Did Christianity ever end slavery (no - it was used by the South as an excuse to condone it!) Does Christianity provide equal protection of the law to homosexuals?

Your religion is as wrong and hateful and "retaded" as theirs.

And just what "truth" would you have them see when they "open their eyes?"

All religions have contradictions, errors, falsehoods, fantasies for which there is no evidence, and logical failings. That doesn't stop billions of people from believing with all their hearts that THEIR religion is the one true one, and every other one is false. When you're in a particular religion, you rationalize the falsehoods, and can't understand why everyone else can't see the glorious truth that you do. There is, in every religion, a very strong feedback mechanism that rewards the "faithful" and punishes the "unfaithful," and that feedback from family, friends, and leaders is often stronger than logic and reason. And in most religions, you can even break the rules, sometimes very badly, and still come back and get forgiveness from your own church...so there's very little incentive to leave a religion. You get warm happy feelings from the group mentality, you get approval from family and friends, you get to be bad every now and then and still be forgiven, and you get a promise of a glorious afterlife in that religion's version of heaven -- all for parking your logic and reason in neutral. For most people, it's a pretty good deal, and they gladly make it.

Pointing out a few problems with any one religion isn't going to convince anyone it's wrong -- they're too deeply involved, and they've already rationalized away those problems.
Personally, while I'd love to see all religion disappear, I'd be happy if they'd just stop killing each other over whose god is the most "right"...:(

The same criticisms of the quran are readily applicable to the Bible. Scripture is a slippery slope at best. Islam itself has many variations from extreme to very liberal. Christianity and Judaism are the same. Religion is too often used as a reason for making war and dominating people. This is not the fault of religion, but really the fault of those that use it for dominance.

The Quran does not contradict science, rather a lot of the verses are confirmed by science.
there is no slavery in islam today
it is not islam legislation but the countries legislations that provide unequal rights

if you dont want to believe, dont. but what do you think you'll accomplish by doing this? if this is addressed to muslims, believe me no one will change their beliefs after reading this. and if it is for non-muslims, what is your aim?

Isn't it funny that you ask someone to dispute what you construe as weak points in Islam, and nearly every single answer has been about Christianity! lol that's funny!

I won't try to dispute what you say are facts because I'm not Muslim and don't know enough of their ways to make an intelligent reply. But I will say as a Christian that what you do in asking for this argument is not loving, and not what Jesus would do.

Honestly, I see very little difference between Islam and Christianity. The poverty in Islam countries could be perpetrated just as easily is the people there were Christian. The only thing keeping Christianity from doing the same thing to the people of America are the laws of this country.
