We raised four kids on ACE. There were many times when the kids had to "school themselves". It helped them to learn independence and self-motivation by having to actual set the goals and follow through on them on their own. I am also willing to bid you are not going to Alaska all alone. So if you get struck on something, we would have a parent (or other adult) along to help you.

While nobody really wants to go someplace fun like Alaska and then have to work, if you do, it will show a maturity that few kids your age have.

Enjoy the trip....and get your home work done

I did ACE from 7th grade all the way through till I graduated it is really quite easy to run through yourself. I did almost everything on my own. You defidenly have to stay motivated and not let it go cause it is hard to catch up if you get behind but I say go for it and Good Luck.
