How do you re-size photos from a disk?

Question

I am trying to upload pictures for something and they are too large. What do I do to re-size them?

I am using Windows XP Office if that makes a difference.

Please...detailed instructions if possible!

try this -->

open the photo with 'MSpaint' , just right click on the photo and select 'open with' .. then edit the photo if u need and save the picture in '.JPEG' format instead of '.BMP'

I would use http://www.irfanview.com/ to resize the photos.

Just open the photo in irfanview>Select Image>Resize>then on the right side you'll see Some standard dimentions>choose 600X400..You should be fine with that
