When you're ready. But how will you know when you're ready. You're 18 now, and two years ago you couldn't imagine your life at the age of 18.

3 years from now you will be 21. Can you imagine all that you still have to experience over the next 3 years? No you can't! So how can you see yourself being married at 18? Do you even know what's it going to be like to be 25 (7 years from now)? if you said no... then how can you see yourself still being married.

Life is short and has so much to offer. But you just finished high school or close to it, you barely know yourself, so how are you going to be able to take someone else's life into your hands.

You can be in love and I want you to stay in love, but marriage may not be the answer for you today. Give a few more years. More like 6 more years. If you still love this girl like you do today, you will be able to wait that long.

Hi Jay
First question is are you finished school. Not sure about you but I would continue with schooling first and get married after that is done which is a good age. 24, 25, or so. Not too soon give yourself a chance to experience life and as well finish your schooling get some money saved and start out on the right foot.
Wondering what is the hurry .. Take your time your young

Good Luck
Congratulations

I think you need to wait until you have a steady, well paying job that you love. The both of you haven't really experienced life yet, there's still so much for both of you to experience, these experiences will change your outlook on life and your outlook on one another. You may feel that your in love right now, but so many young and even old people fall out of love so easily. I personally would wait until your at least 25. You have the rest of your life to be married, enjoy this time of being young and just enjoy life.

After College or at least 2 years into college. If you aren't planning on going to college or some type of school wait untill you get a good steady job and have enough money to provide yourselves wtih a comfortable life style. When you feel ready and secure then get married.

Just some facts for you- 85% of marriages between the ages of 18-25 end in divorce. Id wait till you are 26. Good luck to you tho! :)

when you get engaged, you should set a wedding date that is no more than 2 years away, if even that long. i can't stand people that get engaged, tell everyone that they are getting married, and it isn't for another 5 years. that completely defeats the purpose of being engaged and you start losing the fun of being engaged for that long.

I think you should get married when you feel ready. I think 18 is a little too young...perhaps you should wait a couple of years. You have a lot to experience in life still.

I hope college is part of your plans. It'll give you a better opportunity to provide for your wife and children. A man is expected to be a good provider 1st and a good lover 2nd and a best friend 3rd. Finish college and then give your self a year or two to get your career started. 26 is a nice mature age to get married.

You are 18 and you are a male. No pun intended, but you are much a baby and you don't yet have a clue on the kind of hard work, sacrifice and overall patience that love and marriage command.

Go on, socialize with lots of young people your age, date the old fashion way and see what develops. YOU ARE IN LUST MY FRIEND, TRUST ME!
