We are going on a diet strating on the second of January. We are looking to shed a few pounds, and be sure we don't gain any more. I need to loose about 50 pounds total, and her not that many. We are going on a Soup , Salad, and Wrap diet. Any recipes in theses options or any kind of recipe would be helpful. We are going to wrok out also, but, we are wanting to be careful on what we eat. Keep in mind we are young ladies, and are picky. I know that isn't good when you are trying to loose weight, and don't like any of the ingridents. Things that can be made in 30 minutes or less are great. We can't use a microwave for lunch, so keep in mind of that. We can try a thermos or something if the recipie needs to stay hot. Well Thankyou for any help I may get.

Eat better. Move More.

Low carbs, some good fats, lots proteins, fruits and vegetable.

Eat your carbs in the morning and taper off for the rest of the day.
The more carbs you eat, the hungrier and cravier you will be. Peak and low effect.

Protein will help you fend off hunger.

Eat snacks with protein( am, pm, evening), you will eat less for your meals.

Train 4 times a week. Meet with a trainer (40$). Explain them your goals, they will develop a training program made for you.

It is not a diet but a lifestyle change, meaning you will still have to train for the rest of your life.

I don't know of any recipes but I have some tips for losing weight that immediately worked for me:

1. Drink lots of water, if you feel the need to nible on food, drink water, it could just be that you are dehydrated.

2. If you feel the absolute need to eat something, snack on healthy foods like a piece of fruit or some veggies (don't get the "health bars" from the store, they often have hidden fats and sugars in them.)

3. Eat every three to four hours to keep your blood sugar regular and your metabolism up. (Eat only little things, and healthy ones)

4. When you fix yourself a meal, use smaller plates so that you wont be tempted to fix more food than your body needs.

5. When you are eating, don't watch television or anything else that keeps your attention. This will cause you to overeat. Focus on the food and how it makes you feel, and stop eating when you are full.

6. Try not to eat after 6pm or 7 at the latest. If you are up a long time after that, snack maybe twice at the most on some fruit or veggies. I lost weight simply by doing this one step.

7. Exercise! Even if you lose weight, your body wont look as good, nor burn fat as quickly as it will if you exercise. Toned and developed muscles make quite an appearance.

8. I also take one supplement of Chromium Picolinate every morning. I don't know if this has contributed to my weight loss any, but its a good thing none-the-less.

I hope this was able to help you! Its not ever good to focus your diet around just a few types of food. A well-balanced diet is what you really need. Protein, whole wheats, veggies, and fruits. You can't go wrong there.

P.S. I am a VERY picky eater too..I feel your pain haha. If you cook something at home, try going to the local supermarket and getting a seasoning that is salt-free (herbal). It is fantastic seasoning and you wont even miss the salt! Lemon juice is also good for giving taste to meats.

if i were you i would try the website or buy the book "Body for Life". on this plan you eat 6 small meals a day and get one cheat day a week. we all know that people start on a diet and say they are never going to have a cookie again, but that always backfires. The cheat day is a way to have something you really have been craving without the guilt, and you will continue to lose weight. the website gives you foods to eat as weel as menu's. I am also doing the body for life to lose weight. An example day:Breakfast:egg whites and oatmeal or one serving cherrios with skim milk, snack: low carb yogurt, Lunch:deli turkey on a low carb wrap with lettuce and tomato and a cup of soup, snack:protein bar or apple, dinner:4 ounces of lean meat with small sweet potato and steamed veggies. Good luck!!

In order to keep you metabolism up you need to eat a variety of foods. Try staying away from junk food. Eat a lot of fruits and vegetables and eat yogurt and low fat milk once a day. Eat protein so you will stay full longer. Chicken, tuna, and peanut butter are high in protein. Don't eat a lot of carbs. Eat whole wheat bread and whole wheat pasta instead of the regular types. Try to stay away from salt and sodium. Drink a lot of water. Never eat a huge meal. Portion control is the key. Eat 4-5 small meals per day. Never skip breakfast. Don't get frustrated, losing weight takes a lot of discipline and patients. It should take a few months to lose 50 lbs. They say it's healthy to lose 2-3 lbs a week and by doing this it will be easier to keep it off. Good luck. :o)

I would suggest a cleansing diet. I did this and lost 12 pounds and 19 inches in 9 days. I continued and lost 29 pounds in a month. I like the program since it works by giving your body nutrition through protein shakes with digestive enzymes and vitamins and then cleansing out the toxins. We get toxins in our bodies from pesticides, preservatives, water, pollution, medications, food additives etc…. These toxins enter our bodies and get stored in our fat cells. To shrink the fat, we need to get rid of the toxins through cleansing. The program also has a natural diet pill to help your metabolism and curb cravings. It works and it works fast. My skin has improved from the cleansing. You can get more info at this toll free number 1-877-587-4647. It is pricey but worth it! I think cleansing is really important to health and weight loss. Give it a try and good luck! http://thebestcleansingdiet.com

I've had 1500 calories/70gms of protein/100gms of fat/and more carbs than I can count in 1 salad. It isn't WHAT you eat, it's HOW you eat. Go to a gym because you're going to give up long before you accomplish your goal if you ONLY diet. You need to exercise too. Trust me. You will have moral support and guidance from a personal trainer or other gym members.

Sounds like you are limiting yourself alot! If you'd like check out lowcarbfriends.org
you can loose fast on a low carb diet but you need to read about it and then tailor the diet to your needs. You can ask questions there and get great ideas and they also have a recipe section as well as excercise.

well made it obviuos that your in school still...probably middle school considering your what you wrote, 50lbs is too much weight to even attempt to lose anyways, your too young 2 be worrying about your weight.

But im not going to try and stop you... you'll get sick of the diet, notice you havent lose any to only like 1/2 lb per week learn to love your body how it is and get straight off the diet within a few weeks without losing more than 3lbs.

so long ( and good luck ) SUCKERZ!
