My cat won't play with toys and the problem is that I have another cat and she eats some of his food a lot of the time. I've already tried moving it so she can't get to it but she always finds it and I don't want to lock my other cat in a room by himself when it's time to eat. My cat doesn't eat low fat food (i don't want her to starve) but she eats organic cat food.

I have the same problem. I think alot of my cat's problem is due to her being fixed. That plays a huge role in weight gain. If she's a house cat, that's another reason.

You can exercisse the cat. Purchase a laser pointer. Cats love to chase the light and reduce his food, or find diet food for cats in Yahoo search engine. www.petco.com - Petco has cat foods & more. Petco, where the pets go.

Dangle a mouse from a short piece of rope to the handle bars of your treadmill. Put your cat on the treadmill so that it faces the dangling mouse. Turn the treadmill on and let your kitty run. If your cat does not like mice, than maybe you can try dangling an open can of tuna or a bowl of milk. Good Luck.

Take her to the vet. My cat had the exact same problem and when I took her to the vet they gave her cat food that matched her weight class and gave her this really cool excercise ball thing. She is healthier now!
