All I really need is to be able to mix tracks together ( 5 tracks at the most) as well as edit them. Is there any good, budget software available?

I have Acoustica mp3 Audio mixer v2.471. It was free, is low spec, easy to use and has some good functions.

serch yahoo or google for "Audacity." It is a free, legal download. You can record new material as well as edit together music files already on your computer. You are able to mix together much more than five tracks. There are also several special effects, like you can change the pitch, tempo, or add echoes, and fun stuff like that.
