The boy cat left this morning to go to the vet, and when we brought him back into the house, the girl cat is growling and hissing and not letting him anywhere near her. What can I do?

He picked up a different scent at the Vet's office and she is not entirely sure he is the same cat. Give them both some treats together and ignore them. It will pass in a day or two.

When your cat came back from the vets it came back with different smells that the other cat does not know. They will calm down shortly. I have had that happen when one of my cats went to the vet. They were mother and daughter and did this.

Only doing it because he smells different. (like the vets office) :-)

They will get over it after a day or so.
