T he TSA ( transportation Aurhority ) which is the security at the airports told me to buy Locks for my suitcase. They told me to but TSA approved ones so the security can open them if needed ( they have a key). My question is I am traveling to Europe in a couple of weeks and I think its a different security system that they use and I don't know if they will allow my TSA approved locks. Has anyone used them whils traveling to Europe?

Why don't you just carry it on? I would never check my laptop, have you watched the baggage handlers.

Buy this:

and use it to secure your laptop to the inside of your suitcase. It's not foolproof, but most baggage stealers are up for the quick snatch and grab. They don't usually have tools with them, they're just reaching in and grabbing what feels like a laptop. If they've got to stick your whole bag inside their uniform, they're less likely to actually steal your stuff.

Oh, and don't you think the baggage handlers have the keys to the TSA locks?

Best of course is that you don't pack your laptop. Carry it with you.
