I have had a bad problem with acne for about 2 years now and I am 30 years old. (I was lucky enough in my teenage years to have great skin....sigh....). Anyways, my tv was speaking to me I think, while surfing the channels, I came across 5 different channels advertising Proactive. I am skeptical of infomercials.....has anyone tried this product and if so what were your results???

YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I never had acne in high school, but when I turned 24, I started getting bumps all over my cheeks and forehead. I started using it the EXACT way it tells you to on the bottles and within a few days I could see SO MUCH of a difference. I rarely get pimples now, and if I do, it usually coinsides with my period. So I feel VERY LUCKY to have found something that works. GOOD LUCK!

Yes, the product can work. If you have sensitive skin I would NOT recommend using ProActive. It will burn your skin. I would recommend using a product called Carley's Clear & Smooth. It is VERY gentle on all types of skin and wdoes a fabulous job on controlling breakouts or all kinds without drying out your skin. I personally use it everyday and never have skin problems AND my skin is VERY sensitive.

Good luck! :)

i tried OTC acne meds with no luck or they burned my skin (it appears i'm allergic to sylica acid) so i tried proactive. it helped tremedously but it would dry out my skin to the point where i could only use "step1" and "step2".

I then tried the much cheaper OTC version of Proactive (Acneefree) and it worked like a charm. everyone's chemistry is different so you basically need to try everything once.

You have adult acne and that means benzoil peroxide is going to be too harsh for your skin (that's what is in Proactive).

Try Clean & Clear products that contain Salicylic acid. Works much better on adult skin without burning and flaking.

My daughter with bad acne has used it for a while, does seem to work better than what she used to use, but not the dramatic results as seen on TV.

I tried Proactiv. It helped at first and then my acne got MUCH worse! I cancelled my order with them, but they kept sending it and charging my credit card evry month!! We finally got it fixed, but it was a hassle and SO not worth it!

My wife worked for a dermatologist. Might be a bacterial infection that needs antibiotics and UV treatment.

I tried it but it's not that special. Its like the stuff you can buy at the store. Not worth the extra $$$.
