011 or it is easier for the friend to press the plus (+) key until it appears on the screen and then 44 followed by area code minus the 0. once connected she can save your name and number...The USA seems to be the only country that does not use the 00 followed by 44 !!! I know cos I have had the same problem. Good luck!

If they've got a PC, camcorder and mike, get them to download Skype from skype.com, and you can have a video call completely free. In fact, it's worth buying a camcorder and a pair of headphones (about £20 for the pair) if you make international calls (or even local ones). Much better than MSN as you get full screen.
