No. You have to use their '06 tax forms. I think you have until April or May to get your FAFSA in, so tell them to get on the stick as soon as they get their W-2's.

Yes, you can use the 2005 taxes for now to do the 2007-2008 FAFSA form. They just want estimates for now, when you file the 2006 taxes you can always update the FAFSA with the excact figures. Since the FAFSA for the 2007-2008 yr has to be into the government soon after Jan. 2, 2007 they have to use estimates for 2005. Just don't forget to update the form soon after you finish the 2006 taxes.

No, you can't use your parents' 2005 tax return for the 2007-2008 school year. The 2005 income tax return was in use for the 2006-2007 school year. It is based on the tax return previous to the school year to it.

No but when you fill it out it asked if you have or have not filed. You can uise last years as an estimate and check the box have not filed.
It's best to do it right and completely the first time around though. You know what a pain the financial aid process can be.
