1. Buy more pairs of shoes. Switch daily. Use shoe trees (cedar shoe inserts) to keep the shoe fresh. Shoes must dry out daily before re-wearing. You may have to throw out the nasty athletic shoes. Don't wear shoes without a pair of socks on.
2. Wash the toes and feet thoroughly in the shower, not just standing there in the water. Especially wash the base of the toe, there's a lot of dead skin that accumulates there. Use a brush for that. Also, rub them well there when you dry off with a towel.
3. Let your feet dry completely before putting on socks, use a hair dryer if need be.
4. Wear cotton socks, not cotton/polyester. Any polyester or nylon will hold in the stink and not allow your feet to breath.
5. CHANGE SOCKS DAILY, do not ever reuse a pair from the day before.
6. Use baby powder or foot powder in your shoes.
7. Don't tie shoes too tight.
8. Wash feet again in the evening. Take off your socks and walk around the house, use flip flop if need be, the feet need to breathe.
9. Launder your socks separately in HOT WATER. Whites get bleach along with the laundry soap. Don't wash the colored ones in cold water with your other colored clothing, they need HOT. You can use a laundry soap with some bleach additives in it.
GOOD LUCK.

After washing, apply some rubbing alcohol. After it dries, use an antiperspirant spray, then some baby powder. Don't wear shoes that don't 'breathe'. Natural leather is better that the artificial stuff.Change socks midday if its possible. Also, check for athletes foot infection and treat if present. Also dust your shoes with a baby or foot powder before putting them on. This the army 25 mile march solution.

home remedy
Brew two tea bags in one quart of warm water and soak your feet for ten Minutes. Do this every night until the problem is gone. Then you can soak them periodically. Tea is terrific at keeping your feet odor free and it also will keep your feet perspiration free because of its tannic acid.
Or soak your feet in a pan with 1/2 cup of PineSol added to warm water, soak until water is cool.
