It could be two things:
1. He's curious about your love life. But in some cases
2. it could mean that he might want you as his gf...
but if he already has a gf then maybe he's just curious. But if its the second reason he really must be confused on what he wants since he's already taken.

He asking if he would be the only one to cheat.
If you said yes, then he knows he'll have to do a lot to get you from your boyfriend.
If you say no, then he knows there is no competition.

he is just wondering if you have a bf, just tell him the truth and then he will dump his gf and go to you (hopefully he is hot, otherwise it would be awkward)

if he asks right when you meet him, he is probably trying to break the ice and be friendly. if you have hung out enough times and flirt a little, he is probably at least interested in you, if not, lieks you

well, there could be two reason, one that he likes you and might ask out out, or that he is asking for some friend, so all you can do is tell him and then wait, his puropose will come up soon,,,
