My husband pee’s in the dark and misses, he doesnt lift this seat and I sit on his leftovers, and rarely flushes the toilet. I am ready to go insane. The last two Christmas’s, all I have asked for is bathroom edicate.

In the kitchen, he never cleans up after himself when making a snack and leaves messes everywhere. He knows I will clean it up, cause I cant stand it.

What do I do?

First off, you're stupid for cleaning it up. I would make a point not to do ANYTHING for him. My husband & I went through a power play like this. Here's what happened, here's what I did: He wouldn't wash dishes or clothes, take out the trash, clean house or anything. I worked full time, made more money and he still expected me to do all the " women's work". I didn't say anything to him as I knew it wouldn't make a difference. Instead, I didn't do a thing. I washed my own clothes - not his, I didn't wash any dishes (which resulted in him using 6 gallon cooking pots for cereal) I didn't take out the trash (which resulted in flies and odor), I didn't make any meals or do grocery shopping. I ate out almost every day for a month. He would drop "subtle" hints about how messy the house was or there was no food or dishes and I would say well, wash a dish if you need it or wash your clothes then, or well go grocery shopping if you need something, that's what I've been doing. He finally got the hint. You see, whining and nagging gets you NO WHERE. Men only understand / make the connection when you do them, what they do to you.

Leave the toilet seat up before you go to bed. The kitchen mess is a universal complaint. We have become enablers by cleaning up after them all these years, if mama didn't teach him to take care of himself probably then you are fighting a worthless battle. My BF will empty all ice cube trays and leave them sitting on the counter and then complain when there isn't ice! I just want to smack him silly! He leaves his half filled pop cans in the sink because he doesn't want to through liquid away in the trash. How long does it take to empty a pop in the sink and toss the can in the trash?!?!! I get so mad and ask him constantly, since when do we wash pop cans? He just won't change. So I give up.

Here's what I would do......lets address the food part.....tell him to clean up after him or leave the plate on the table (even though you cant stand it) and when its time for the next meal....place a clean plate for yourself and ask him if he would like to eat in his dirty plate or whether he would like a fresh plate!!!.....if he wants to eat in a dirty plate he can but i dont think he will.....the message will be clear.

With regards to the toilet.....lots of wicked ideas come to mind but you can always....use his underwear to wipe the seat and put them back in his closet.....let him consider wearing soiled underwear......its similar isnt it. I'm sure this will also send the message to him. Another nasty idea is that after using the toilet (after he does at night)......just squirt some toothpaste all over the seat.....when he does go in the morning.....its icky and it burns so he would get a.....shall we say...rude awakening.

Finally, the flushing part.....just use a different loo for a few days....let him not flush and continue to use a soiled loo....wont last too long.....

If all else fails.....just hide the remote for the tv for a day....thats enough to drive any man insane and mend his ways....

try putting plastic wrap around the seat tape it if u have to ,to get it to stay,or lift the seat when you get done using the bathroom, maybe he will sit down to use it an get his butt wet and he will see how u feel, has far as leaving a mess in kitchen don't clean up after him if you leave it long enough maybe he will get the hint.

I know, I know...I totally know how you feel...see my post from earlier today. My husband thinks that cleaning the bathroom means wiping down the counter and that is that.

I am realizing that men don't change...so don't expect him to or you will be disappointed...as you have seen.

Leave his pee covered seat for him to sit on. Don't clean it. Use your own bathroom if you have two. Let him wallow in his own filth for awhile...that is the best advice I got in my similar post.

instead of cleaning up after him, you leave the mess the way he left it, until he can't stand it one day, then he'll eventually clean. and as for the bathroom, tell him that you'll use another bathroom, but only you can use it. he just go to the bathroom that he always goes. and see how he likes it to step on his own urine.

Put cellophane over the toilet seat so if he doesn't lift it up, it sprays back up at him. Positive reinforcement didn't work, so a little harmless negative might shock him into always remembering. Plus, it'll be a great story in the future.

He is being selfish and by now he is really getting on your nerves, that is not nice from him. Tell him that in the long run his actions are going to create a crack in your relationship. That you need him to change his manners cause you deserve a more respectful treatment.

Honest to God, it amazes me every woman isn't a lesbian knowing how men could be.

I'd go with the bloody tampon per below answer. Maybe just leave it on the sink.

Speak with him and explain as you would a child( as we know it about your upbringing)and if he can't hit the potty, and flush it ,to please sit and tuck, that is something that is very unsanitary, and unhealthy,as well as a very unwelcome smell as you step in your home.maybe then you can get through to him, sometimes it is the tone of your voice and the height of your voice ,if you yell its like a defiant child,he will continue to spite you.
