is there a way in excel of randomly jumbling letters?

i want to see if i can put one word, (say one letter in each cell) and then get excel to mix them up, then i can join them up again, so i can see if there are any anagrams which can be made from words.

Try this:
A1=theWord
B1=RAND()
C1=LEN(A1)
D1=IF(ROUND(C1*B1,0)=0,1, ROUND (C1*B1,0))
E1=MID(A1,D1,1)
F1=LEFT(A1,D1-1)& RIGHT (A1,LEN(A1)-D1)

Now copy cells B1:F1 to G1, then to L1, and keep copying until you reach the end of the word. I used the word Randomize, which has 9 letters, so I set
A2=E1&J1&O1&T1& Y1&AD1&AI1& AN1&AS1
and each time the sheet recalculates, I get a different combination of characters.

Don't think Excel will. Try googling for an anagram program.

dont think so , only way i know is with the key board a frind of mine used to do x words and he had a thing like a calcultor you put the letters and the spaces in and it would fill in the blank spaces to make up words do not know what it was called sosorry can not help you on that
