Is your MD an Orthopedic surgeon? Usually we accept " growing pains," but if it is constant and in all joints then no it is not normal and your child could suffer an autoimmune disease. However, be sure that it is constant and in more than 1 or two joints before becoming concerned.

Just saw your update, and since I didn't know those details I thought I better change my answer.
Is she skinny? I don't mean like normal skinny--I mean is she very thin and almost frail looking? If she is getting injuries so often, you need to get a second opinion. Sounds to me like she isn't getting enough calcium. Your bones should be able to "hold up" to alot of things but if you don't have enough calcium your bones become like glass almost.
Like I said, get a second opinion. Nobody's bones should become injured that easily and if they're cracking constantly that's something to worry about.

yes, it is normal, i was twelve before, but i think the doctor is wrong, because i think it isn't normal for bones to crack every time.
either it's a rare case never seen before, or your kid has problems, no offence.

No. I think you should get a second opinion from a different doctor. Especially one that specializes in bone diseases. He is too young for "osteoporosis".
