This means that you have a very strange friend, of all the things to pray for your friend didnt want a picture to fall ?
I think if it was me I would now pray not to win the lotto.

Well, it means a couple things.
~Your friend should have been more proactive, i.e. purchase hooks and picture-hangers designed to prevent just such incidents.Obviously she knew there was a problem, or it wouldn't have been on her mind. Rather than asking God to hold it, she should take responsibility and take advantage of the wealth of solutions that exist.
~Your friend needs to re-evaluate her priorities. Most of us have other things to pray about (family, friends, taxes, the lottery, etc.)

Just because your friend's prayer wasn't answered in the way SHE wanted it to be doesn't mean it wasn't answered. I can't tell you how many prayers I prayed in the past that I am glad never came true!

IMHO, God knows what is best. I don't even want to think about what the world would be like if he granted every wish made in prayer!!

When you pray for something not to happen u ussualy know that its in danger of happening. your friend knew the pic. was going to fall and did nothing about it. she had the power to keep it from falling but did nothing to prevent it. Was she tryoing to know if there was a god? if so then maybe it was a lesson.

Her prayer was not answered.

She prayed to a non-existent power

She did not have full faith

Her picture was not nailed up well

There was an earthquake - she maybe should have prayed for no earthquakes?

It does NOT mean that there is no God. I am sure of that!!

With regard to prayer, nothing. Petitionary prayer is nothing but a primitive belief in magic. See Matthew 5:45.

With regard to intuition, she doubtless knew it was in danger of falling but did nothing about it. When that inner voice speaks, she should learn to listen.

When you pray you don't ask God for things to happen for you - you thank God for what you have been given. So your friend was confused in what she was praying for.

Good Luck!!!
