Agree with ones of the other ladies. . .

You can boil ahead of time, but I've found leaving the yolk in the egg, unpeeled can result in a 'sulfur' taste.

Go ahead, peel, remove the yolks, and store seperately.

For yolks, go ahead and add a little bit of salt. It will dry them out a little bit, but will help them keep better - and you'll adding mayo to them when you make the filling later.

Rinse the egg whites in a cold water/vinegar or cold water/lemon juice mixture - you only need a little bit of vinegar or lemon juice. Then pat dry.

Lay the egg white halfs, open side down in a flat dish, cover with moist paper towel. DON'T add any kind of lid that will seal - it promotes bacteria growth.

I wouldn't recommend doing this more than 2 days in advance.

You can boil and peel the eggs a day ahead but don't stuff the eggs until the day of, they will get runny. Use OLD eggs for easy peeling.I have also found that peeling them warm helps. Slice the eggs and store in a ziploc or storage container. Make your stuffing and store separately until party day! I use a pastry bag for stuffing them but you can make the pretty by cutting the corner off of a ziploc bag too! Happy New Year!

Boil the eggs and make the yolk mix a day ahead but don't put them together until few hours of serving.
The reason why you want to do the mix ahead of time is Because you want the flavors to marrie over night. Get fresh paprika to dust them once they are on a platter. And add some shopped fresh herbs such as thyme, parsley, sage and a teaspoon of horseradish or wasabi in the mix for better flavors.

Good luck to you and happy new year.

Good luck to you

You can make other foods a day ahead but be careful with poultry and egg products. Yes to boiling but the filling should be applied on the day or just before the meal.
Day old looking eggs looks old and I would avoid it eating it, no question about that.

You could cook the eggs before if you wanted to. I wouldn't recommend peeling them that early and I would keep them in an air tight container. The egg shell is porus and can and probably will take in any off oders and flavors from your fridge. You probably don't want funky tasting deviled eggs. Good luck.

Hard boiled eggs can be kept refridgerated for about 7 days. They can be left in the shell or peeled and stored in acidulated water (lemon juice or vinegar)If you make egg salad or deviled eggs I would suggest keeping them in a well sealed container, refridgerated and should be eaten within 4 days.

deviled eggs are pretty easy. first boil however many eggs you want. each egg will make two deviled eggs b/c they are split in half. after they are boiled, take off the shells, cut them in half length wise, and take out the yolks. set the egg white part aside, and be careful not to tear them. put all the yolks in a bowl and mix with mustard, mayonnaise, a little vinegar, a little sugar, and i usually use some lawry's salt. mix all those together with a fork until smooth. then scoop out some into each egg white where the yolk used to be. you can keep them in the fridge until your party. you can also garnish them with a slice of black olive or a dash of paprika. yum!
