Hey! I had posted about nerve pain. My nerve pain isn't from an injury or a post-operation damage. It all happen out of nowhere. It started with a severe headache (worse than migraine) that last it for over 18 mos. This headache was 24/7. Then my left side went completely numb. One day, at my office I colapse and fell face first to the floor. Funny to say I worked at a hospital, I was rush to ER and stood for a week at the hospital, they didn't found why it all happen.

Since then I have been suffering from this extreme nerve pain. They found lessons in my brain. I am under the care of a neurologist. It sad cause I am a young person under 40. I am going through a lot with this problem!

Any familial conditions like leprosy, or strokes?
Steroids should be able to help with the inflammation for the mmoment but i would suggest you consult a neuro surgeon about the lessions.
Also if the onset is rapid then you should have an ID consult and do some tests like an MRI, and CT scan. Also if you previously had some childhood illnesses like measles, mumps, and rubella, they might be the cause of the problem.

I would see a neuro surgeon though.

I hope i was able to offer some assisstence. and hope you feel better.

Pinched nerve for sure if its tingly and runs down your leg.The first thing is,is it positional or is it always tingly? If its positional then dont do that particular movement. I know that sounds dumb and simple but if the nerve is continually pinched it can lead to nerve damage and as I know,it stinks. You doc will likely do a Nerve Conduction study if its continual. I too have a young child and I can no longer pick hm up due to this nerve injury. Please get it taken care of soon. The alternative is terrible.

I am sorry to hear this - my mom had the same thing happen when she was in her mid-40's - they thought it was probably MS, but they were never quite sure. She described her pain as rats gnawing on her bones. She found a little relief with TENS. I hope something works for you.

neuropathic pain is very difficult to treat. some anti-seizure drugs like tegretol or neurontin have been found to be helpful. also some anti-depressants may also be of benefit.

you mentioned that there were brain lesions- are they surgically resectable? assuming they're causing the pain, that's what i'd do.

You can always turn to the Lord, and ask for forgiveness and healing, with true faith, God can heal you, my son. This is no joke, you must just have faith.
