I also have 3 other virus protection programs: Ad-ware SE personal, AVG free, and Spybot Search and destroy. I have updated dated all three and have also scanned my computer with these programs, still everyday I scan, new critical objects. What else should I do what should I check?

I wouldn't say someone has hacked your computer, but you definately caught some sort of virus, which will slowly ruin your files and cause your system to crash if not treated soon,

You actually might want a "real" virus program to remove them... Ad-ware does nothing but removes programs and cookies that trigger ads generally, and AVG\Spybot MIGHT be virus installed programs... I might be getting it mixed up with SpyAxe, which IS a virus trojan designed to look like a virus protector. One of the last viruses I had kept finding AVG, and I never installed it myself so my guess is its some form of Spyware.

A real good one is McAfee Anti Virus. That's the one I'm running after trial and error with other programs. PC Tools Spyware Doctor is good too, but doesn't always catch actual viruses... just spyware related ones.

Once you have one of those, delete all other program used for virus\spyware protection. I used to have 3 running all together to get rid of one I had awhile back, and it turns out they won't work when there is more than one program running.

For the time being, try the Malware detector at www.microsoft.com Its free, quick download, and will be up-to-date seeing as though it is from Microsoft. Its not great, but may catch a few things while you get a new anti virus program.

Also, once you get a program, disconnect from the net while you run a full scan. If you are finding new programs each time, it means you have something like Backdoor.Hackdoor or Trojan.Big

Both of those run while being undetected by most "cheap" virus scanners, and they download more viruses to infect your PC. By turning off your modem (or unplugging it if necessary), it atleast will slow that down while your computer is scanned.

If that doesn't work, turn off your PC, then when it comes back on hit F8 until given the option to run in Safe Mode. Try running a scan from Safe Mode if all else fails.

Hope that works!

They are spyware cookies that get accumulated at the end of your online browsing session. It is better to use mcafee site advisor plugin to help you keep away from harmful sites. Also you need an real time scanning anti spyware program either AVG's free anti spy (not anti virus) or microsoft's windows defender. And make sure your firewall turned on. Use a temp file cleaning program to delete accumulated temp files, cookies, that will automatically rid of the so called "critical objects"

You are doing everything right. Sometimes these spy ware programs (Spybot and Adaware) identify cookies and websites as "critical problems," scary. It's normal. I have what in reviews is considered the best (for now) spy ware detection program, Spyware Doctor, and it says the same thing, except it's just cookies and websites. Microsoft has a free spy ware checker program, though I guess not that great called Windows Defender. I think you're covered though. Chow

I don'tknow what antivirus you're utilising, yet i've got not had one tell me there have been severe gadgets to be bumped off, yet then, i take advantage of Avast and function no longer had an epidemic in 3 years. advert-conscious does tell me that, even nonetheless it removes spyware, undercover agent ware, etc, no longer viruses. Do you have the two mixed up? I run advert-conscious every day when I get off the internet, and every day, it shows stuff. that's what that is for. And the Yahoo Toolbar is a distinctive element altogether. in case you probably did no longer thoroughly uninstall the toolbar and restart your laptop, it is so corrupted you're able to start up over. Uninstall the toolbar from administration Panel, upload/eliminate courses. After it finishes, restart your laptop. Then acquire the toolbar returned.
