I have a 4-year-old son and a 3-year-old daughter.I know it sounds surprising but I want them to know from an early age about sex and other things. When I read them fairy-tales,when a man and a woman remain together I usually add that they have sex and enjoy each-other.I was thinking of making up some tales including sex. What do you think and can someone give suggestions?

People, I do not know if you are blind, but they did NOT ask for mean comments. Sex is a very natural thing, and you people are weirder for making it so taboo. I think it is great that you are opening up to your children about this. Although right at that age they may not understand the details (children are often satisfied with a small, simple answer.) this will most likely clear up any questions, and will also set them to where they will feel comfortable to ask you anything that other parents just nod and blush at. This would lower the risk of children becoming violent, or in some cases, hurting others. To know this would help your children greatly. My god, people, why are you so ashamed of how you were born? Sex is very beauitful thing, and natural. But society has made it otherwise. If we did not, then the entire human race would fail to thrive and Humans would go extinct as soon as everyone died. Would you want that? I think more parents should be like the asker of this question. Maybe some other stories you should try; Rapunzel, Cinderella, or any other stories where children are born, or the marriage lasts.

I honestly think its perverted to turn classic fairy tales to include tales of sex and whatnot. I totally agree with children needing to be aware of sex, however remember little girls and such want to grow up being princesses and live in castles and have the horse and buggy type deal. Do you want her walking around saying she wants to have sex too? I say when they get curious about their own bodies or ask questions, answer them based on age and edit content as to not entice nor scare them but to inform them. Dont encourage sex or make it glamorous.

Fairy memories have been around long till now they have been written on paper. maximum in step with folklore and legends from the midsection a protracted time, the place toddlers have been taught violence at a youthful age those memories have been informed to the toddlers for a narrative of braveness and capability yet additionally for them to be surpassed on from technology to technology. So in concept sure they have been for toddlers

The idea of adding sex to children's tales is a bit far fetched to me. I doubt if they are old enough to even understand what it means.

They are your kids and you may teach them what you like. I hope your experiment turns out better than Dr. Spock's. His ruined at least one generation of kids.

At 3 and 4 kids are curious, but not that curious. yes this is the time for them to learn things because their brains are developing fast. what you can do for them is not to push the "act of sex" on them but to explain it to them in basic form(penetration, egg, and sperm that sort of stuff). everything else should be shared later ( i believe its too early for them to understand the other aspects). once they get older then you can explain the whole process and the emotions and feelings behind the "act of sex."
