A woman is NOT a child, but an adult. Controlling another adult is not love. If a person complains a lot, it's okay to express how you feel. But it 's not Okay to be mentally, emotionally, physically, or verbally abusive to get your point of view across.
My husband and I have an equal relationship. We have a choice to put up with each other or leave the relationship. We are not there to parent the other person. We are there to support and love each other and to accept who we are.

I agree with sum.
But I do have to say this is a two way street. Both men and women get out of line sometimes, and their partner shouldn't "put them in their place." In a healthy mature relationship, the person knows that having a serious conversation is all it takes to let the other know what they did was wrong, hurtful, unacceptable, irresponsible, immature, or whatever. One person should NOT be in control of the other, and it's not your right or responsibility to correct the other.
If you are that unhappy, then it's time to end the relationship. Get out, get away, and let someone else deal with the "complainer." Move on with your life, and find a woman more suited to you.

I think it depends on the situation. Sometimes us women need to be put in our place, but the same goes for men.

total turn off! No one should really put someone in their place unless they are totally annoying.. Even if they are complaining a lot, a gentleman would never directly put a lady in their place! Guess a gentleman would bear with it and go roundabout to handle her.
i hope i don't sense any form of gender inequality.

Well if the man is placing the woman in a place once in a while, then it is not bad; unless he is using abusive words or physical abuse. Though if he is doing it out of love and wisdom then it would be alright sometimes, I'd think.

My place is wherever I decide to be and my husband knows that for a fact. My husband has enough respect for me to not even try putting me in any place, because he wouldn't want me to do that to him.

Men can't put women in their place, because to them it's an unreachable place.

if you cant deal with a woman the way she is, leave her and find one that suits you better. i choose my own "place", but maybe you can find one that will be subservient to you. good luck with that.
