My mother keeps interfering with my parenting!!! It is driving me absolutely insane!!! She "over-rides" everything that I tell my daughter when she is around. Her and I got into an argument last night that escalated past the point of no return. She threatened to call the police on me last night and also call CPS. I'm sorry, but I'm a great mother, I love my daughter and there are no issues at the house that would require any of those actions to be taken. What should I do? I'm so furious that I cannot even talk to her. Has anyone else had this problem with their mothers? Any advise or personal stories would be appreciated!

My husband was upset as well. She actually yelled at my husband, but he didn't say anything to her (just the type of person that he is)

YES, MOTHERS THINK THERE'S ONLY 1 WAY AND IT'S THERE WAY TO DO THINGS. I'D TRY TO STAY AWAY FROM HER FOR AWHILE. ALSO MAKE SURE OTHERS ARE THERE ALSO WHEN SHE'S AT YOUR HOUSE. GOOD LUCK WITH THIS.

Oh my, i do feel very bad for you. Have you tried to talk to her about what is bothering you about what she is doing? I haven't been in that situation before, i guess if it was me i would try to stay away from her, or move to another place. Maybe try writting to her on paper how you feel, sometimes it is easier to write things down, and it will reduce the arguing. What does your husband say about this? She sounds (sorry) very controling, I hope things work out for you. Good luck

You should move very far away, and you need to call the police on your mother. Your mother of yours has anger management and she need to get a life. No offense Adorethasp!
