im 18 a senior in high school. im taking 2 math courses (geometry,algebra 2). ill be graduating during the summer. my dream is to go to GA state U. the problem is is that due to my stupid attitude during school freshman year my GPA is now a 2.7
do u think i stand a shot?

Apply to your dream school and pick a back up. If you don't get in this year, Go to your back up school and reapply. If you did good on your SAT and other coarse and showed improvement.... and it's all depends on your major too and how many the accept.
Yes, you may still have a chance.
I failed math and science for 4 years and got into the best art school in the US :) Sometime colleges understand you can't be A+ student at everything.

You'll never know until you try. If your GPA is significantly above 2.7 once you don't include your freshman year, point that out on your application. But always have a backup plan. If you don't get admitted this year, and you can show good grades after the 1st year at your local community college, you may be able to transfer.

You might get more helpful answers if you post this question in the correct category.
I would apply to several schools and go where you're accepted, but continue to try to get into your first choice. My daughter went to a local school the first semester, then changed in the spring when she got into a better one.

Yes, make sure you go after those scholarships that will make it a lot easier, and if you check GA state website, they will have a list of scholarships that you maybe eligible for as a freshman.
