There really is no easy answer to this as it really depends on your hair...I have very hard to cover gray, and I consistently use Nice N Easy...it's inexpensive and does the job....I use the regular NNE...there is a new NNE line especially for gray coverage and I've tried it, and it does the same great job but I don't like the color as well...whatever you use, make sure you use Level 3 (permanent), if you use a level 1 or 2 it's going to fade out fairly quickly....

I use the "100% Color". It works very well on my hair, covers the gray, and when it starts fading, it fades evenly. Also, took my mom to the beauty parlor before Christmas and was talking to the girl who cuts my hair. She said after you color and still have the color on, put shampoo in your hair and let it set for about 5 minutes. The shampoo closes the cuticle of your hair before you rinse. She said after 5 minutes wet your hair, shampoo, condition and rinse. She said it will help your hair retain more of the color. Haven't tried it yet, but I'm going to. Good Luck.

I have some gray in my hair and I use Performing Preference by Loreal-I have used it since I was 23 and it works great. Plus they have the conditioners that help your hair. Everyone (even hairstylists) ask me what I use, so it must be good.
