Electric shaving machine do not rash your face...

I used to have exactly the same problem for years, I tried everything! One day someone suggested I dip my razor in Dettol or anything similar (antiseptic solution for cuts etc) to sterilize the blade, I did this and noticed a huge improvement, the next time I shaved I took this a step further and decided to dab my face with Dettol after shaving, I had the BEST shave i've ever had, NO rash, NO zits, NO itching and NO redness like I used to have, the downside is you smell a little "antisepticy" for an hour or two but its worth it not looking like a margarita pizza.

I also only shave every few days which i'm sure puts less stress on my skin.

Basically the bumps and white heads are tiny little infections teaming with bacteria, if you sterilize your skin and blade (and don't touch your skin for 20 mins after) you stop some of the bacteria getting into the cuts and open pores.

I hope this works for you! I never looked back.

I used to get serious rash on my face, until I finally switched to electric shaver. However, buying the right electric shaver is important. Many cheap electric shavers only make things worse.

I've been using panasonic ES8086. It was recommended by many and it can be used both in wet and dry conditions. You can also use shaving cream with it. I had it for more than 4 years now, and it's great. Anytime I switch to blade (gillette), I get rashes.

But I think they have something better now . The panasonic ES8077S. The good thing is that it has the automatic cleaner, which gets rid of any baterial stuff, which is also good.

If you haven't used electric shavers before, it will take about a month to get used to it.

And don't buy any round blade electric shavers. It's difficult to cover all the locations on your face accurately (just likethe philips model).

If you don't want to use shaving cream, don't forget to buy the electric pre-shave liquid called "lectric shave" . You can find that at your local drug store (walgreens, rite aid, longs or similar).'

Here's the shaver:

It's time for me to upgrade mine too.

have you tried some soothing balms afterwards? Also shave in one direction only as if you shave over a place you already shaved the other way then it will really irritate the skin. Maybe trying an electric shaver would help too as they do not irritate as much as the old traditional method of a razor and foam. If not then I think there is a mens veet product on the market that just dissolves the hairs, I use the womens version (not on my face lol) and it works a treat, no nasty waxing for me!!! Just put cream on wait ten mins then wash off, Yay!!

Hi
It seems that your skin is very sensitive . I suggest u do not use any Shaving Cream or lotion that have chemicals. Use a shaving cream with mild chemicals and natural substances like Vico WSO. Also use Olive Oil as a After Shave lotion, Do not use a Blade to shave rather than use Twin Blade or Electronic shaving machines so there will be no scratches !Also eat lot of fruits and vegetables.
Wishes and regards, you will have a smooth rash free skin !

What are you shaving with? A dull axe?

Okay, maybe you have sensitive skin. If you properly prepare for shaving, you'll have fewer problems. These things may sound obvious, but they bear mentioning.

1. Wash you face with warm soap and water.

2. Rinse well.

3. Apply shaving cream to your face.

4. Commence shaving with a sharp razor.

5. Rinse razor frequently.

6. When done shaving, wash face again with warm soap and water.

7. Apply after shave. Try to find one for sensitive skin, like Nivea.

Good Luck,

Don't shave. Some men have complexion problem. Also, make sure you're shaving the right direction on each side of face and neck. Shaving the wrong direction may cause this effect.

You may be like me... I have sensitive skin, and I get a rash with either a blade or an electric. I've had a beard now for about 40 years.

Shave before you go to bed so any rash will disappear during the night.
