Go to the nearest market that sells roast and buy one. Then take it home and cook it. That is best done in a dutch over or roaster. It is not a roast dinner without the roast.

go get a roast. you can't have a roast dinner with no meat. unless you and everyone attending is a vegetarian. go get a whole chicken. they're $7 for a really big one. of you can get a bag of chicken breasts even cheaper (frozen). or go get a chuck roast and put it in your crock pot for the rest of the day. or a pork roast. take your pick. just make something or your guests may get kinda pissed off.

i would think the best bet would be to do without. or throw a load of veg in a roasting tin a few handfuls of mixed nuts drizzled with olive oil and a sprinkling of mixed herbs. yuk i'll stick to roast beef and good old yorkshire pud.

Nip to the supermarket and get a hot chicken from the deli or you could chop all your veggies up and grill them with some olive oil and seasoning as an alternative
