I have IE7 running and in Tab mode. Any time I'm on a web page, CTRL Left Click OPENS a new window (instead of selecting non-contiguous text). On 2 laptops, it still works properly. My desktop has a wireless mouse and keyboard (just put on the updates from MS) - still works the same way......In an Office program, it works the way it's supposed to..... but opens a brand new window whenever I CTL click on IE7. Didn't do it in IE6.......any fixes out there - I've tried a lot of things...... is this a Java problem by any chance or a quirky thing with IE7......hmmmmm.......??

I know there are other browers out there.... maybe I'll just wait for a fix.... funny that the feature works on my laptop. Again, I JUST installed the latest software & drivers for my keyboard and mouse. I've heard good things about firefox but unfortunately - don't want to add more software. I know there are people out there with the problem - so a fix will have to happen.

I didn't like IE7 at first but I like certain tabs loaded when I start - easy to get to - I guess I can turn off tabs and see if there's a difference.... probably not......

Have the same problem on my laptop when I use my wireless mouse and keyboard. When I don't use it, I have no problems. If you find out the answer, please email me. james_geranjr@yahoo.com Good luck. Maybe it's just the wireless driver or another conflicting driver. Also, you can email Microsoft, I did. If they get enough complaints, they'll figure it out.

This is a quirk in IE7. You either have to live with it or go back to IE6. You can uninstall IE7 and it will revert back to IE6, if that's what you choose to do. There are many such quirks in IE7, and a lot of people find it hard to handle. To uninstall, click on Start, Settings, control panel, add/remove programs and the Show updates box at the top. when the list loads, find IE7 and click to remove it. After removal, close control panel and restart the comptuer. IE6 will be back.

IE7 is new and buggy, bad idea to rely on it as your main browser in the first place.. Should get firefox its x100010101010 better...
