My boyfriend called me on Xmas to make up and within an hour he was breaking up with me again because I guess I didn't say what he wanted to hear. Was he doing that on purpose just to hurt me because he felt like I had hurt him in some way. He can be a bit childish and it really did hurt me to think that we were going to work things out and then all of a sudden he was saying he was done again.

The thing about it is that I know he's going to call again in a couple of days because he's does this all the time. How do I move on when he keeps coming back and keeps hurting me on purpose because he's trying to vent his own pain. I still love him very much and want him back, but he keeps making me feel like I've done something wrong when I know I haven't. Why do guys do that sometimes?

Why would you want someone like that in your life? Seriously, girlfriend, if you want security, you're not going to get it from someone who acts like my eight-year old son.

Tell him that you don't want him back, and find someone else when you're ready. It will be a lot easier than dealing with his wishy-washy back and forth crap. You may be surprised at how fast you would get over something like this, too.

It's your choice, but I'll be surprised if a relationship like this lasts for longer than another six months. He's being a vindictive turd, and I seriously suggest that you leave him in the dust.

We do that because we are mad at ourselves for whatever reason. We are unsure of what we want, and if we have wronged a person we try to turn it around on them. People have tried to do the same to me but after a break up, it's hard to put any emotion back into that person. I would say if he keeps hurting you, then block him out. When he calls, picture him as only a friend that you didn't have any true feelings for, as hard as it could be. Eventually you will learn how to deal with it in a sense that doesn't make you feel hurt. He will probably keep doing it to you until he forgives himself or finds someone else. Don't let him, and don't show any pain because that could be what he's looking for. If you don't give him that satisfaction, he will soon stop. Just because you really love him, doesn't that you two are meant to be together. If he brings you this much pain, then he isn't the one for you. Just tell yourself everyday that you won't let him do that to you anymore, then it will just happen naturally and you will feel better.

Unfortunatly the holidays are when ex-s call to see if they can recapture your love or if not just hook up with you and have sex again.

Your on again off again boyfriend......ah ex-boyfriend is a jerk. He sounds like the type that doesn't want to be in a relationship with you, but will call and screw with your emotions to make sure your not in a relationship with anyone else.

What you need to do is erase him from your mind. Do not answer his calls, set his ringtone to silent or vibrate on your cell so you don't even know when he has called and then move on with your life.

Yes he will call again because New Years and Valentines Day are near. But if you can ignore him now, move on and get over him the next time you speak you won't play into the drama and can use the conversation to drive him crazy talking about how great your new man is.

Kick him to the curve. If he's constantly in and out of ur life then he has someone else. he's trying to split the time between u too, that's how they do it, they make it seem like ur the one doing wrong so they pick a fight to leave and be with the other woman and then once That's done they go back to u to make up and break up, sorry to tell u but he's cheating, don't let the pattern keep going, let him go, he'll realize what he lost later. I went through that for 7 years and he was cheating on me for 5, its not worth it. you'll have him where u want him when its over, but u won't ant him anymore...

Because they are childish, and he knows that he can do this to you, if you really love him, try to work it out, or the next time he calls let him know that regardless of what he says you are not going to let him control your life anymore, good by. You have a good cry then move on. Life is too good and too short to deal with the drama and other people issues.

Leave him. Udon't deserve this kind of pain. There are a million peopel around the people, if it does not work it with this guy then there must be someone out there who is meant for you. As for this big baby, ask him not to call you again. and if he does, let ur friends threaten him. Then threaten to go to the cops. Ojust tell him ur in love with soemeone else.

I think girls can be like that, too. It could be that he is keeping you on the back burner in case another relationship doesn't work out.

It is hard to give advice on this because you still have feelings for him, but if he keeps doing this, it might be hard for your relationship to grow. Maybe some time apart will help you both clarify your feelings.

Good luck!

OK do you know you've done nothing wrong or you think you've done nothing wrong and if he is just coming and going then just drop him like last weeks newspaper because he will keep doing this. Why do guys do this because they think well s*** i don't have another girl and well damn i know i could still get back with that other girl so yea i think ill do that but then if u say something he doesn't like or do something he doesn't like its like well i just got back with her because i knew i could not because i wanted to. kick his *** to the curb.

He sounds mean and manipulative. What are you supposed to do? Sweat bullets til HE thinks you've said the right thing? Don't keep answering the phone, he's NOT worth it. You sound sweet and timid, find the one that's right for you.

He is hurting you because he can. Change your phone number and move on. Learn to love you and do not tolerate anyone who is incapable of loving you the way you deserve to be loved and treated.
