I think the dogs with "jobs" are happy to do the jobs. We have a Border Collie and she'd get pretty destructive if we didn't keep her "working" and busy... she's much happier having a job.

A true working dog LOVES to work and would rather do that then anything else, including sitting at home like a pet, burping with boredom. A dog like that would drive you insane and completely out of your mind had you decide to turn it into a pet. Work dogs get EXTREMELY jealous of having to stay at home when they get sick or retire, if you are taking another dog to work.

A dogs like that couldpersistent you insane and thoroughly out of your thoughts had you come again to a determination to instruct it right into a puppy. artwork dogs get somewhat jealous of having to stay at domicile whilst they fall ill or retire, whilst you're taking yet another dogs to artwork.

No, when I take one of my dogs out to work with, the others are jealous because they're NOT working.

Too complex for a dog to understand. They are not capable of rational thought. Dogs don't have the same emotions as People.

Working dogs are extremely happy. Their joy comes from doing their job well and pleasing their trainers - They are just as happy, if not happier, than a couch potato dog.

From my understanding (animal planet junky) the service dogs know they are performing a service, herding dogs who herd, hunting dogs who hunt, supposedly they have knowledge they are working and love to do it....
They feel useful and were bread to do what they do.
So, in my opinion, it would be just the opposite and perhaps they feel happier and more productive etc. than others. Most dogs really want to please, so it is in the pleasing of the masters that make them the happiest....
happy holidays ....woof woof....
