Well... wouldn't you know it... I live in Cheltenham....
Looks likes I would go as follows?
A45 through Northampton on to daventry
A425 to Warwick
A46 thtough Evesham At some point about 15 or so minutes after Evesham bypass you will get to a small roundabout
Take the Cheltenham / Bishops Cleeve exit on the A435... This takes you all the way into Cheltenham via the racecourse side...

the easiest method is to go to www.multimap.com enter your starting point enter the end point and create the rout plan based on either the fastest route or the shortest remember the shortest may not be the fastest.
best of all last time i checked the route planner was free.
i think the www.rac.co.uk also do route plans.

Mapquest is a free and easy way to find routes to places you need to get to.
Just go to Mapquest.com and type in your address and then your destination address, and wala; directions.
