the actual Eve was not white. All life began in a region of Africa. We all came from African peoples originally who migrated from Africa out to regions of Europe, Asia, and then on to north and south America. there the bloodlines mixed and intermingled to create the lines and the many different genetic variations that you see today (eye color, skin color, hair color, etc). There was actually a very interesting show on recently called the real eve ( i think that was the name at least) on the Science channel. It followed this same basic premise. However, it is completely inaccurate if not presumptuous of the bible to depict eve, Jesus, and many early peoples as white since this simply was not historically possible for the region from which most of these figures originate.

It would be impossible for Adam and Eve to be white! Two white people can not make a black person but 2 black people can make a white child. The Garden of Eden was in Africa. The last time I looked they are all Black People except for the ones who have went there and stole land. And yes - it was a mutation effect that turned people white. Being in the cold - Covering up your skin so the Sun can not hit it will cause you to loose melanin. They say that cave man was trapped in the Ice ages for 40,000 years. What you do not use you loose. Everything in the cold is white, polar bares, wolfs, etc... Sounds like natural selection to me! When the bible was changed from Black to White at the conference of Nicene they turned Adam and Eve into white people with Lions in the backdrop. When have you seen a Lion in Europe? It is just another case of bigotry in the Bible which was changed by power seeking priest. If they wanted to teach that Blacks are inferior to whites then they had to change the bible to match that racist theory. Ethnocentric white people always want people to believe that they were the first people on the planet. Wow. The last time I looked life starts in the heat – not in the freezing cold. And how on earth would people be white in Africa then turn Black. That makes no sense at all. All people were dark skinned at one time and their environment caused them to mutate.

I am not a Christian and do not claim to be an expert on the subject. Here is what I have been told. Cain was expelled from the people for killing his brother. Cain and whomever and wherever his wife came from were of different color than the other Jews. Now, their is no mention that Adam and Eve were of any particular color. One might assume that they were of the Middle Eastern Jewish background. This would be a darker complexion that Caucasian.
I have also been told that the races were created during God's punishment for the tower of Babel. See the links below.

Let's take a look at this question in the (I'm assuming) innocent and direct manner in which it has been asked...
<> 'Adam' and 'Eve' were the 'first people' on earth <> were BOTH 'white' (typo on the 'noth') then how did 'black' people come along? Mutations?
Well, short answer = Yes.
The only thing seperating 'white' or "light colored" skinned peoples from 'black' or "darker skinned" people is about 10 thousand years of adaptation to the climate/sunlight. The pigments in our skins darken when exposed to bright sunlight and over generations can become darker. Nothing we'd ever notice in our lifetimes so it's not something many people are aware of.
Good question though...I maybe would have worded it a bit differently (some people might take the 'mutations' comment in a personal/bad way) but...as you pointed out in the end we are all (in a sense) "related" from some primal source...our cultures may vary quite a bit from region to region ... but we are all the same color flesh inside. ;-)
HEY! Any question that has the potential to help promote that fact that 'we', the people of the world - across all colors and creeds, are all united on earth together (inside and out) is a good one in my book.

Yes well you're just making fun of the Bible which it deserves. The idea of us all coming from Adam and Eve is ridiculous as is much of what the Bible says and it's funny to see people here talking about evoloution which is totally against the logic of Adam and Eve. These thing are for the ignorant and simple minded.

No one knows what color Adam and Eve were. Perhaps they were black. Who knows?
I believe the different colors of man's skin developed over time. If you think about it, the closer man is to the equator, the darker the skin. I believe this is God's protection for us against the rays of the sun.
Yes, we are all related. We are all brothers and sisters. That is why God says that we are a FAMILY. I think it is wonderful.
But, back when man and woman married, and were closely related, there were not the diseases we have today. That's why man lived for hundreds of years.

How do you know that Adam and Eve is white? Anyway, human evolve to cope with the surrounding, I'm would like to guess that African is black due to the weather.. There are something in our skin cell that protect us from the sun other meaning it turns us black.. Maybe after years of living in the hot sun, their body thought fair skin is not helpful in the hot sun..
We are all brothers and sisters.. despite our race, religion and nationality or it would be nice if people thought that way.. maybe there could be less killing..

This a question that I've often wondered about myself. Who knows exactly what Adam and Eve looked like. Some people say that when God punished Cain for mudering Abel and marked him for all to know of his sin, that he made him black. Cain is believed to have traveled south, towards Africa. Malcolm X and his followers in the Nation of Islam believed that a crazy sceintist named Yaweh created white people to punish blacks for ever and ever. It's probably because of evolution, having to do with the location and amount of time in the sun.

Christians explain the races of the world through Noah's three sons, Shem, Ham and Japeth. From Shem came the Semetic peoples, the Arabs and Jews. From Japeth the Japetic race: European whites. And Ham fathered the Africans.
The genes for skin color and other racial characteristics were all present in the genomes of Adam and Eve, but it wasn't until Noah's kids that they manifested themselves as dominant characteristics.
As far as the incest of Adam and Eve and their kids, this is explained in another way. The genes of Adam and Eve were so perfect that the deformities commonly associated with incest today did not manifest themselves because they were so recessive.
Not saying I believe any of this, mind you, but that's what some of them believe.

Where does all this evolution nonsense come from?
Whatever happenned to education and critical thinking?
Adam and Eve would have most likely been mid-brown, with genetic information for boeth pale and dark skin. Skin colour is determined only by the amount of melanin in your skin.
We now have pale and dark skin as a result of Natural Selection - nothing whatsoever to do with evolution.
