If I don't believe in Idaho, I can't go there either.
And please, no more circular logic from a book that you believe is true because it says it is true right there in the book.
I happen to have a book which states that serpents can not open their mouths and speak Hebrew, and I know this is a true book because it says so right there in the front pages of the book.
I can already hear you telling me that I am not reading the "correct" book, because your book says so, and your book must be the truth, because it says so right there in the book.
Does any of this make sense? Really???

Ok, so maybe Idaho was a bad example, because I believe it really does exist.
If I don't believe in Santa's workshop at the North Pole, I probably won't ever wind up threre rubbing elbows with elves.
And you people are still doing it, that is, argueing from a book that you believe to be true because it says it is a true book right there in the book.
These are just your beliefs, and what you choose to believe has no bearing on what is true for me.
Having said that, your right to create your own reality ends where mine begins.

My serpent is more evolved then yours. It can open its mouth and speak Hebrew. It can also say offensive four-letter words to me, such as "fish" and "bugs."

You speak as a fool. I don't believe in hell, and a truth most Christians will not know before their heads go to the grave is that neither does the Bible. The Bible says that when we die we are just dead.
You going somewhere or not, however, has nothing to do with believe and everything to do with reality. Regardless of whether you believe in Idaho or not, the reality is that it does exist and therefore you can be sent there. Luckily, hell doesn't exist and nobody will go there.

Try thinking of it this way, then.
Suppose an astronomer whose opinion you trusted utterly were to tell you, with all the authority they possess, that tomorrow morning the sun would rise in the east and you decided they were full of it, that tomorrow morning the sun would rise in the west because YOU had decided to believe it so.
Where will the sun rise tomorrow morning? Do you think the star will be guided by YOUR belief or by the other's expert opinion?
Of course not. It will do what it has always done. NOTHING you believe about it or your astronomer has expertly concluded about it will change that.
YOUR belief or lack thereof will NOT change what is, no matter how much you wish it.
There is a heaven and it's where those who believe in God get to go.
There is a hell and it's where those who refuse God HAVE to go. The punishment there is knowing that you made the wrong choice and it's irreversible; not sulphur and brinstone and nasty little red guys with pitchforks poking you in unmentionable places.
Your belief, your lack of it, will neither one change what is.
See, and not one word from Scripture!

Hell is multi-dimensional. A cold, dark lonely place. A room
full of buttholes with their noses in the air and won't speak.
A place of frightening visions, and pain, but on a psychic level. So
we don't actually get hurt physically. Just feel it.
And a consuming Fire. All these things have been experienced
by humans throughout time.
Take your pick!
The Word says God will eventually destroy Death and Hell.
But who knows when that will be.
Like they say. It's an interesting place to visit, but I wouldn't
want to HANG OUT there!

Well, actually the good book doesn't say anything about Hell. That is a pagan teaching and unfortunately most christians have been brainwashed into believing in it. The book talks about resurrection of the righteous and unrighteous. Talks about paradise on earth Psalms 37:9, 10, 11. The bible is a very positive book.

I'm sorry, but why do you care about going to a hell you don't even believe in? What's the point? So, no, it simply makes no sense to be upset by being told you're going to a hell you don't believe exists. It would be like me being upset over an impending martian invasion. I'd laugh, but I certainly wouldn't hang out on ET questions sites to worry about a non-issue.

You should believe in hell because we are all heading there weather we like it or not. The translation for hell in Hebrew and in Greek mean your grave. So, sorry to say it but weather u believe in it or not you are heading there. Now the Christians should believe in a Resurrection and maybe you should look into that in stead of worrying about hell.

All of it makes sense to me, tongue in cheek parts included, except for the Idaho example right after your main question. You give your opponent fodder. They may tell you, BUT you CAN go to Idaho even if you don't believe (I'm sure you can think of some scenarios here). ERGO, same with Hell. Now, I like you, don't believe. I just wouldn't argue using this example.

The christianazis who tell you or others to "go to hell" are like little children who just got their butts kicked. The problem is, _they_ are the bully and can't deal with others defending themselves.
It's much the same way as just happened to me as I write. I posted a valid comment in response to a question and a bunch of christianazis whined about it to Jawohl - oops, Yahoo - and it was censored. They like to dish out their hate speech but they can't take it being refuted.
What was I censored for? I said the "Left Behind" books were hate literature. The "books" advocate violence against non-fundy christians; just read these links about the computer game based on the books where people score points for killing non-christians (eg. catholics):
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Left_Behind:_Eternal_Forces
http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/technology/6178055.stm
For saying that, I was accused of "insulting other participants".

This is why WE belive those like you will go to hell:
You don't believe in hell, therefore you don't believe God's word.
If you don't believe God's word, then you do not know Jesus.
If one does not know Jesus, they go to hell.
And just because you don't believe in Idaho does not mean that you CANNOT go there.
Perhaps after death, your spouse or family decides to have you buried there.
Likewise, after death we have no say in our destination.
Prior to death though, we have great opportunity to state our wishes for burial, and for a belief in Christ. .

I believe in God. We are made by Him. God is the only one that can decide what happens to us on Judgment Day. Christians that tell you you will go to Hell have no business doing so.
God Bless you and have a safe and Happy New Year.
