It is a very shallow way to plan a wedding, that is for certain. No matter what size a person is, your sister is your sister and will always be your sister. A wedding is a one day thing, a sister is a lifetime. By being so shallow and alienating her own sister for one stupid, expensive day of her life, she is threatening to destroy their relationship forever. Is it really worth it? Her sister may be the bigger person about it and act like it does not bother her, but deep down it will be hurting her tremendously and that sort of hurt (being rejected by one of the few people in the world who are supposed to love you unconditionally) will stay with her forever. Maybe you could convince your friend in a more shallow way that she will understand by telling her to think how much better she will look with her sister standing beside her.

If her sister is fat, and she's not putting her in the wedding, thats wrong because thats ur blood. If its just a friend or something she can come up with an excuse. I can totally see where she's coming from in not having fat people in the wedding, but it is wrong regardless.

I think there are many ways to look at this. First, lots of fat girls don't like to be in those God awful dresses, on display in front of hundreds of people. Brides tend not to ever think of how their bridesmaids feel about thier dresses. Weddings are all about the bride. So as friends we should try our best to shut up and accept it. It is their day after all. Some day it will be your turn and you won't want a single conflict. It can ruin your spirit and weddings are to be a happy time. I didn't have one bridesmaid, first I couldn't pick just one special friend and second girls can just be plain B$%ches!

It's a little cruel...far better to simply choose who she wants in the wedding and keep those comments quiet.

That is just plain rude. I guess your friend is perfect, right? If I was her sister, I'd tell her to stuff her wedding up her butt!

ME MYSELF,IF MY SISTER WEIGHED 350 POUNDS I'D STILL HAVE HER IN MY WEDDING.SIMPLY PUT SHE IS MY SISTER.YOUR FRIEND WILL REGRET THAT. WHAT IF THE TABLES WERE TURNED AND IT WERE HER SISTER DECIDING SHE ONLY WANTED FAT PEOPLE IN HER WEDDING? THAT WOULD LEAVE HER SISTER "OUTTA LUCK". THAT HAS GOT TO HURT!!!

Well it is HER wedding. But it's very shallow. Wouldn't say wrong, just not very nice.

yes very wrong to say that , no one should be judged by size alone it a shame that she feels like that even more hurtful is the fact that her sis is fat ....

absolutly, judging someone over their weight, that is really very childish, and think how her sister must feel. That is just plain rude and mean.
