I know you need a component or HD cable. Will games appear in high def at any level, or just 1080p as I read somewhere?

Any TV with 720 lines or more (720p, 1080i, or 1080p) is a HDTV.
PS3 will play in HD in all of them. If the TV is larger than 42" you may see some difference between 720p and 1080p.

It is in Hi Def on bnoth Tv's one tv will display it better It alll on the TV quality
