Mostly water.
Mix in 1 tablespoon real lemon juice (from squeezed lemons, not artificial stuff) and 1 tablespoon Grade B or lower maple syrup (Grade A is too refined, and loses most of the nutrients required) and a dash of fresh cayenne pepper.
You'll have to drink at least 12 eight ounce glasses of this a day (every 1 - 3 hours)
You could also add in a solution of 1 tablespoon uniodized sea salt in a liter of water each morning, and an herbal laxative tea (with no sugar etc) each night.
This will act as a fast and a master cleanse. 10 days should do it. However:
READ UP ON IT ON HOW TO COME OFF THE FAST - you don't want to dive into a steak dinner on day #11.
A good rule of thumb, no matter what anyone else says, is to use 100% natural ingredients... no packaged pills, no artificial juices, supplements.... the detox and fast is to get all the unnatural things out of your body.. The real lemon/syrup/pepper drink has ALL the nutrients your body needs.
Good luck!

If I could, I'd like to recommend a partial fast. Where you cut out everything bad and only eat very minimal, healthy food. When I say minimal, I mean salads with no dressings. They will have some calories that will help you get along better. And drink tons of water. I wouldn't recommend juices simply because prepared juices have tons of refined sugars in them. And although most juices are fat-free, they are going to be high in sugars and carbohydrates. Whenever I fast, I do it for 24-72 hours (one to three days), depending on how long I feel I can go at it. I drink TONS of water (when I say tons, I mean about 2.5 to 3 gallons daily) and eat fresh vegetables that are low-calorie and high in nutrients: namely lettuce, field greens, and carrots (especially). I can munch on veggies like that all day and only consume about 400 calories. Tops. If you are going to take vitamins along with this diet (which you should), I would recommend just taking a couple of multi-vitamins a day. Take one that has extra calcium and take one with extra iron. Those are the two nutrients you really need while fasting, because you won't be consuming milk or meat products. I know leafy greens will have some iron, but not enough. The multi-vitamins will have the rest of the minerals that you are going to need.
When you come off of your fasting, take it slowly. Don't go pigging out and binge eat... it's going to just counter-act everything you just did. Stay on the leafy greens. Eat lean beef (no fat around the edges) and increase your white meat consumption. I LOVE turkey burgers with vegan cheese on it. Those are fantastic. I also eat a lot of boneless, skinless, white chicken breasts and I measure my dressings on my salad (because most dressings have tons of sugars in them as well). I limit my milk products and opt for soy milk instead as well as vegan cheeses. The great thing about this is that all of these foods can be found in your local grocery store and there is very little (if any) price difference.
Good luck with your new diet.

Fasting is not a good idea but if you are going to do it use a prepared fast solution. Also you should already be taking a daily mulitvitamin and a mineral supplement as well as a good antioxidant supplement every day. Since you are not taking any supplements yet that should be your first task. It may take you a while to find the right supplement that works well for your body as most vitamins and supplements are poorly absorbed by your body so be sure to find one that works well for you.

I think juice is a better idea because it has nutrients in it, especially a vegetable juice.
I just found a link with fasting-juice recipes :D See below.

Stick with water, otherwise the sugars from your juice will cause your insulin reactions to make you feel hungrier.
